Adelaide Biennial
Art Travel visited Adelaide for the first and was humbled by the people we encountered. Thanks to Leigh Robb at the AGSA, the good folks at the Samstag, the amazing Nikki at the equally amazing JamFactory. Of course the good folks at Hugo Michell Gallery and artist Sera Waters.
Special thanks to the collectors who opened their homes to us. We won't forget Adelaide in a hurry and look forward to returning in the near future.
The Adelaide Biennial curated by Ellie Buttrose was across several venues. Whilst mainly at the Art Gallery of South Australia, a number of works were included across both floors of the Samstag Museum, and a small number in the Botanic Gardens conservatory as well as Archie Moore's work in the Museum of Economic Botany.

Biennale of Sydney and Mike Hewson
The Biennale of Sydney was across a number of venues including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, White Bay Power Station, Campbelltown Arts Centre and Penrith Regional Gallery.
Our first stop was the AGNSW, where not only did we enjoy a tour of the Biennale here, but encountered the monumental 'The Keys Under the Mat' by Mike Hewson.
An incredible work in the tank, on for almost a year. Thanks to Justin Paton for the intro. We also snuck a visit to Mike Hewson's studio as well.
We very much enjoyed the Biennale theme this year, and it was made all the more relevant and relative by Sue G.
We really did feel like VIPs with the introductions and each location and lunch with Biennale CEO Barb Moore. Already looking forward to 2028.
