Suggested Itinerary

Wednesday 9 June 2027

Take off for Melbourne this morning on Air NZ. On arrival transfer to our hotel for the night in the central city.

After grabbing coffee and a lunch nearby we head off for an afternoon of art. That might be from the large scale NGV to the smaller galleries along Flinders Lane.

The evening is yours to explore Melbourne at leisure.

Thursday 10 June 2027

Check out this morning and wander enjoy a visit to Craft Victoria before we board our bus for the airport for our late afternoon flight to Hobart.

On arrival at Hobart – welcome to mid winter and Dark Mofo. MONA museums mid-winter festival full of art and experiences in the cold of Hobart.

Enjoy a dinner nearby tonight before proceedings kick off tomorrow.

Friday 11 June 2027

Be prepared for bracing temperatures this morning as we head to Mona on the famous Mona Roma ferry. We spend the day at Mona, taking breaks and finding breath taking experiences. There is so much here – one visit will not be enough.

We take the afternoon ferry back to the city and attend one of the evenings activities of festivities, including the annual feast.

Saturday 12 June 2027

We spend half the day travelling around Hobart by coach experiencing a number of Dark Mofo events and local galleries further afield. We then head back toward the hotel and visit the areas around Salamanca and the harbour.

Enjoy a drink to share experiences of Hobart before finding a meal locally on your own.

Sunday 13 June 2027

We head back to Mona for a second visit, again by ferry this morning. We aim to finish Mona as best we can before heading back to Hobart on an early ferry.

There is time to complete more Dark Mofo experiences before a final meal together to celebrate all that is Hobart in winter.

Monday 14 June 2027

Enjoy a relaxing morning before departing for the airport and noon for the flight back to Auckland via Melbourne.
